Class Project 2015

   

In this Class Project, we will make systems biology computable. Starting from carefully considering an abstraction that is relevant for systems biology, we will work on defining it, then funnelling publicly available data into a workflow of data acquisition, analysis, visualization and interpretation. Alls students will contribute to the best of their abilities and document their activities. As we move through the various phases of the project, we will cover the learning objectives of the course in a meaningful, active, hands-on context.

1. The topic will be jointly determined in our first class session.

2. The first stage of the project are various preparatory activities.

3. The second stage of the project is the implementation of the workflow.

4. The third stage is the interpretation and writeup of the project.

5. Marking will consider:

5.1 Quality, usefulness, insight, creativity, originality and timeliness of your contributions;

5.2 Execution and form;

6. There are three stages of the project and three firm deadlines - however the deadlines dates will depend on the project and thus are TBD at this time.
