"Classroom" Participation

   

Active participation is essential for your own learning outcomes and for the course as a whole. Your participation mark is a significant component of the final mark. I will evaluate

• regular attendance in class-sessions;
• substantial contribution to discussions;
• active participation on the course mailing list. Such participation can include
  • questions about the material;
  • answers and comments;
  • hints and pointers to interesting and useful resources.

Asking questions does not show ignorance, it shows interest.
