Quizzes

   

The quizzes will test your completion of the assignments. They will be 15 to 20 minutes long and given in class on the day that the assignment is due. We will have five quizzes.

Typical questions will ask about things you have encountered while preparing your assignment and some basic understanding of what you where doing and why you were doing it. I try to make these questions easy for anyone who has completed the assignment with an active mind. It should be possible to get a perfect score on all of them. The quizzes are not good models for the final exam, the questions are not "problem solving".

You are welcome and encouraged to submit quiz- and exam questions to me or to the course mailing list. I always consider these carefully and often include such questions (in slightly modified fashion). I am always disappointed how little use students make of this opportunity.
